SOUND FORGE

Sound Forge is the software for sound editing, where you can record the sound but cannot create the sound.
Previously it was the product from paradox Company under the banner of sonic foundary.
But from the latest version that is the 7th version it has been taken over by Sony pictures Digital inc.
So from now it is called Sony Sound Forge.
Sound Forge is an award-winning two-track digital audio editor that includes a powerful set of audio processes,
tools, and effects for manipulating audio. Combine Sound Forge with any Windows-Compatible sound card to creat,
record,and edit audio files.

BASIC INFORMATION.

Sound forge is digital editing software, which work with the detailing of the micro-seconds.
Now a days all the processing of the sound file are digitalized by which we can get more perfect
editing and also quality of the sound is very crystal clear. We use the sound forge for editing the sound
file for our multimedia presentation.
Sound forge is the most user friendly software to work upon with the sound files and along with the editing
we can also record the sound four our voice over for the presentation.

DIFFERENT PARAMETERS FOR THE SOUNDS ARE:

Hertz(Hz)
The unit of measurement for frequency or cycles per second (CPS).

Decibel(dB)
A unit used to represent a ratio between two numbers using a logarithmic scale. For example, when
comparing the numbers 14 and 7, you could say 14 is two times greater than the number 7; or you could say
14 is 6dB greater than the number 7. Where did pull that 6 dB? Engineers use the equation dB=20xlog
(V1/V2) when comparing two instantaneous values. Decibels are commonly used when dealing with sound because
the perceives loudness in a logarithmic scale.
